Notes

Engraved on the back: "Armee Francaise" and the number. These watches are part of a stock of timekeepers, made in Germany by Stowa (Walther Storz Co.) which were requisitioned by the French Government at the end of WWII, as war damage compensation. They were then marked "Armee Franfaise". These watches were very well-constructed with a Laco-Durowe movement.
