C. Outer double body, silver, polished. Inner double body bassine with split bezel, polished. D. Silver champleve engraved with scrolled foliage in which Sun and Moon symbols, inlaid in a blued steel disc, appear alternatively in an open sector to indicate the hours of day and night, marked along the rim in Roman numerals, the minute being shown in a conventional manner on the outer Arabic ring. Blued steel "poker" minute hand. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with a mask and foliage. Signed on the back plate. Diam. 56 mm.
