Notes

The punch mark in form of a viper's head is set by the Observatory of Besancon on watches successful at the contest and awarded the Bulletin 1 Phwiere Classe. This exceptional pair of pocket lever chronometers, sold in a mahogany fitted case with outer protecting box, was certainly specially made for a scientific expedition.
