Outer double body, Louis XVI with rose-cut diamond set bezel, chased with ribbon and garland decoration, the back centred with the painted enamel portrait of a lady within a rose-cut diamond set frame. Inner double body, bassine, the band pierced with foliage. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass threearm balance, flat balance spring, English style gilt brass cock. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Gilt brass dust cap. Signed on the dial, dust cap and back plate. Diam. 41 mm.
