Courvoisier & Comp., Swiss, circa 1810. "Dianne Chasseresse" Fine and rare marble and ormolu, eight day going, hour and quarter striking clock.
C. Rectangular marble base on four engine-turned feet. The movement is fitted in an altar, surmounted by a horn, a quiver and arrows, applied on the front with hunting horns and further hunting trophies, it is flanked by Diana the Huntress on the right, her greyhound on the left. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals. Blued steel "trefle"hands. M. Brass circular, three trains of wheels with going barrels, going train with anchor escapement, plain short pendulum with silk suspension. Striking on two bells independent trains for the hours and the quarters, the Neuchatel type striking work, set on the hack plate. Dim. 42 x 35 x 12 cm.
