Isaac Soret & Fils, Geneva, No. 26254, circa 1780. Fine 18K gold and enamel moon phase astronomical quarter repeating watch with calendar in a glazed protecting case.
C. Double body, Louis XVI, the bezels with chased leaf decoration, the back enamel panel painted with a pastoral scene within a square white enamel frame with canted corners, outer paillonne decoration over a blue enamel ground. Glazed tortoiseshell covered gilt brass protecting case. D. White enamel small eccentric with Roman numerals and subsidiary dials above for the dates and lunar calendar. Gold poker and beetle hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with ruby end stone. Striking on a bell by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and back plate. Diam. 51 mm.
