Notes

The inscription Patent , engraved on the balance cock, refers to the invention of the rack lever escapement, patented by Litterlandni 1791. This watch is a very good example of rack lever escapement, made by the best Liverpool watch production, of which the main featu r es are the band cast shell-fish decoration, the gold dial with cast floral decoration on the border and the movement with the typical extra large jewelling.
