Attributable to Louis Audemars, Swiss, No. 12679/18057, completed on February 1867. Fine and unusual early keyless watch with 30 hour power reserve indication.
C. Four body, "forme quatre baguettes", polished, the back engraved with a monogram. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring, Up-and-Down scale and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 18"', gilt brass, bar calibre straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Early single stem winding system, fitted with a special device to declutch the barrel once fully wound. Numbered on the movement, cuvette and inside the back. Diam. 46 mm.
