Notes

Champion de Nansouty Charles-Etienne de Nansouty, Brigade General, married Miss de Dion in 1851. At the extinction of the younger branch of the family, he felt he had the right to the title of count which had been granted to that branch in 1808. He had no children although his brother, Eugene de Nansouty, had two sons by his marriage in 1850 with Miss Emma de Dion, sister of his sister-inlaw.
