Henri Grandjean & Cie., Locle, No. 32154, circa 1880. Very fine 18K pink gold keyless moon phase astronomical minute repeating watch with perpetual calendar.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished with reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette, the band engine-turned and engraved with foliage decoration. D. White enamel with roman numerals and outer minute ring, sunk subsidiary dials for months, clays of the week, dates and seconds with inner moon phase aperture. Blued steel "fleurs-de-lys " hands. M. Glazed, 19"', nickel plated, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the dial, case and movement. Diam. 54 mm.
