Langueret a Vienne, No. 1602, circa 1830. Fine and rare 18K gold and enamel pendant watch, designed as a primitive Egyptian lyre, in original fitted box.
C. Two-part, the ribbed back decorated with panels of scarlet flinque enamel and sections of engraved gold musical trophies with white borders, sound board with a painted pink cameo scene depicting cherubs on cloud, applied with diamond set crescent and star, the green, white and red champleve enamelled key board with gold keys and wire strings. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, winding aperture at 2 o'clock. Gilt brass Breguet hands. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with flat spring and regulator. Gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Signed on the back plate. Dim. 67 x 31 mm.
