Notes

Burt Reynolds Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Brut Reynolds is one of the world ' s best recognized, most beloved superstars, who was named America's "Favorite All Around Motion Picture Actor " (People ' s Choice Award) for a record six consecutive years. Most recently, Reynolds filmed a starring role in Disney 's "Mystery Alaska " with Russell Crowe which will open in February 1999, and premiered in December 1998 in the first movie from a trilogy entitled "Hard Time " , which he directed and in which he starred, together with Oscar nominees Robert Duvall, Charles Durning and Billy Dee Williams. Reynolds also co-starred in the critically acclaimed "Boogie Nights" which won him several nominations in 1998 and the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. Among Reynolds ' recent feature films include "Striptease " opposite Demi Moore; "Citizen Ruth " with Laura Dern; and "Bean " with Rowan Atkinson. His best selling autobiography, My Life, is available from Hyperlon. Burt Reynolds is equally at home on television and behind the camera. He performed on live television in the 1950's and has made more than 200 TV appearances, including such series as "Riverboat", "Gunsmoke", "Hawk", and "B. L. Stryker " which Burt produced in his native Florida. He has directed "Gator " , "Sharkey' s Machine", "The End", and is considered as one of the industry ' s strongest directors of stunt sequences, high-intensity action movies and comedy. He is equally at home on the legitimate stage, having performed in New York as well as in numerous productions throughout America, since his professional stage debut in 1956 with Charlton Heston in the New York revival of "Mr. Roberts". Reynolds ' commitment to his profession and devotion to education can perhaps be best exemplified by the program he created to give college students scholastic credit and wages for their work while obtaining an education at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre (B.R.I.T.T.) located in Tequesta, Florida.
