Stainless steel, water-resistant to 100 m., tonneau-shaped, gentleman's quartz wristwatch with chronograph, register and date, with rubber satined steel linked bracelet. The case is satined as well with tachometer graduated bezel, screwed back with the logo. "Guilloch6" black dial with round tritiumcoated indexes, auxiliary dials for the seconds, the 30 minutes and 10 hours registers, aperture for the date. Tritium-coated steel hands. Engraved on the back: "Darryl Strawberry 1999". With fitted box and certificate. Diam. 36 mm. Retail value: $690

Darryl Strawberry Born in 1962 in Los Angeles, California, Darryl Strawberry has been in Major League Service now for over 14 years. His passion is Baseball and now plays with the Yankees. His career highlights include: 1982-named Texas League Most Valuable Player after leading the league in HR, BB and SLG (slugging percentages). That same year, he established the Jackson record for HR and was promoted to Class AA Tidewater for the International League Playoffs. 1983-received 18 of 24 first-place votes to earn the National League Rookie of the Year Award and hit his first Major League home run in his 27th AB, a 2-run HR off Lee Tunnell on 5/16 in Pittsburgh.. 1984-on 4/4 in Cincinati played center field for the first time in his career. 1985-on 9/3 in Chicago became the third Mets player in history to homer 3 times in a game. 1987-with 39 HR and 36 stolen bases joined Howard Johnson (36 HR, 32 SB) as the only pair of 30-30 teammates in baseball history. 1988-led the National League with 39 HR, tying the Mets club record set in 1987 and finished second in the National League Most Valuable Player voting. 1989-hit the 200th HR of his career on 6/9 ? Pgh off Doug Drabek 1990-established a Mets record with 108 RBI and became the first Met to record at least 100 RBI in 3 seasons (1987-88). 1991-established a Dodger record for HR by a left-handed batter with 28, the most since Pedro Guerrero hit 33 in 1985. 1992-on 9/8 in Atlanta made his first career start in left- field. 1994 joined the Giants which went 20-10, after he joined the club, including a 9-game winning streak from 7/7-7/18; homered in consecutive games from 7/14-7/15 in Montreal, including his sixth career grand slam on 7/14 off Pedro Martinez. 1995-became the 56th player to appear for both the Yankees and the Mets. 1996-hit .262 with 11 I1R and 36 RBI for the Yankees; became the 1st Yankee since Bill Skowron in 1956 to hit five HR in 3 regular-season games. Has 28 career multi-HR games. 1998-won world series with New York Yankees. Darryl Strawberry has been a spokesman for the RBI program to revive baseball in inner cities. In 1991 he was named Southern California Big Brother of the Year.
