The case is polished and satined and bears a stepped bezel and "Vendome" type lugs with stud bars. The back is engraved with the brand logo. The dial is red with applied steel radial Roman numerals on a "guilloche " reserve, aperture for the date, and sapphire crystal With fitted box and certificate. Dim. 28 x 41 mm. Kathleen Turner One of the premiere American actresses to emerge from the screen in many years, Kathleen Turner has firmly established her presence in a series of highly divergent roles in both film and theater. Turner was born in Missouri, but her father ' s career as a foreign service diplomat enabled her to live in Canada, Cuba, Venezuela and England. It was in London that she first became interested in an acting career. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Maryland, she moved to New York and began doing local theater, which led to her starring role on The Doctors" . While appearing on "The Doctors " , she also starred in the Broadway production of "Gemini " . Turner ' s other stage works include a starring role in jean Cocteau's "Indiscretions " , her portrayal of `Maggie the Cat ' in the Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams ' "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof' (for which she was nominated for a Tony Award), and "Camille " at the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven, Connecticut. Turner made her film debut in Lawrence Kasdan's film noir, "Body Heat" opposite William Hurt. For her performance, she received a Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year and a British Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. Her role as the spinster author who turns into a hardy adventurer in the extremely successful "Romancing the Stone " helped earn her the reputation as being one of the best romantic comediennes since the golden 30s and '40s. This performance also garnered critical acclaim, earning Turner the Golden Globe and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress. Turner continued her success in Francis Ford Coppola's "Peggy Sue Got Married", for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Access, a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress, and the National Board of Review Award for Best Actress. Her starring role in John Huston' s "Prizzi's Honor" earned her a second Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Turner ' s extensive film credits include "The Man with Two Brains " ; 'jewel of the Nile " ; "The Accidental Tourist"; "Who Framed Roger Rabbit? " ; "Serial Mom " ; and "Moonlight and Valentino " . Turner made her directorial debut with "Leslie ' s Folly", starring Anne Archer, for Showtime-a story of a woman struggling through a bland marriage and a floundering affair, only to discover that she is pregnant. Turner's most recent project is her portrayal of Tallulah Bankhead in "Tallulah! " , a new one-woman play by Sandra Ryan Heyward, which premiered in the Minerva Studio Theatre in London.
