Robin Williams is one of the most gifted and abundantly talented actors of our
time. He began as a stand-up comic on the West Coast and then moved to New York
where he worked under John Houseman, gaining early fame through his role on the
TV sitcom "Happy Days", but it was his role as Mork from Ork in the TV spin off,
"Mork and Mindy" which exposed him to a film career.
His role in "Good Will Hunting" earned him the 1997 Academy Award for Best
Supporting Actor, a role for which he also received the Screen Actors Guild award. He
has also starred in numerous box office hits such as "Flubber", Jumanji" and "Mrs.
Doubtfire " . Additionally, he has received three additional Best Actor Academy Award
Nominations for his performances in "Good Morning Vietnam " , "Dead Poets'
Society" and "The Fisher King".

Doctors Without Borders, known internationally as Medecins Sans Frontieres
and MSF, delivers emergency medical relief to populations threatened by war, civil
strife, epidemics or natural disasters. A private, nonprofit organization, Doctors
Without Borders was founded in 1971 by a small group of French Doctors determined
to respond rapidly and effectively to public health emergencies, with complete
independence from political, economic or religious interest.

medical professionals and logisticians,
representing 45 nationalities, volunteer with
Doctors Without Borders each year. They work in
more than 80 countries, restoring health and hope
to millions. In emergencies and the aftermath,
Doctors Without Borders provides primary health
care, performs surgery, rehabilitation hospitals
and dispensaries, runs nutrition and sanitation
programs and trains local medical personnel. The
volunteers of Doctors Without Borders work i n
front-line hospitals, refugee camps, nutrition
centers and remote health clinics. Doctors Without
Borders is part of a worldwide network with offices
in 19 countries.
