?Palemon and Lavinia? Swiss, No. 34533, enamel attributable to P.-A. Champod, Swiss, circa 1896. Very fine 18K gold and enamel, pearl and diamond-set, hunting-cased, keyless, minute-repeating lady's pendant watch, made for the Chinese market.

Four-body, 'bassine et filets', the front cover painted with Palemon andLavinia in a woodland landscape, surrounded by an engravedgold foliate frame with diamond-set flowers, the back cover painted with twosheep in a woodland clearing by a river surrounded by agold foliate frame, the bezels set with half pearls on a dark blue enamelground, the engraved band with repeated pattern, gold hingedcuvette inscribed Medaille d'or Genève, 1896, gold glazed bezel.
