Longines, "Lindbergh", invented by Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh, US Pat. 1923305, launched in 1931. Very fine and very rare, small hour angle, stainless steel and silver aviator's wristwatch with center-seconds and two crowns.
C. Three-body, polished, dedicated case back, revolving silverbezel with the enameled 15 degree graduations in black andblue Arabic numerals, graduated rounded band, the crown at 2o'clock activates the central revolving dial, lever at 6 o'clock forlocking the revolving bezel. D. Matte silver with enameled radialRoman numerals for the 12-hour indication, concentric, the 180degrees in blue Arabic numerals, at the center, revolving dialbearing the 60 seconds and 15 degrees in red Arabic numerals.Blued steel "feuille" hands. M.Cal.12.68n, rhodium-plated, 17jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance,self-compensating Breguet balance spring.Dial, case, and movement signed.Diam. 33 mm. Thickness 12 mm.
