?Innocence? Léo Juvet, Shanghai. Made for the Chinese market circa 1875. Fine, small, gilt brass and painted on enamel, pearl-set dead center-seconds pocket watch with Chinese duplex escapement.
C. Three-body, ?Empire?, reeded band, back painted on enamel with a scene ofa young girl arranging a posy of flowers in a woodlandlandscape, pearl-set bezels, pendant and bow. Gilt glazed cuvette hinged tothe movement ring. D. White enamel, radial Romannumerals, outer minute/seconds divisions with fifteen-minute/seconds Arabicmarkers. Blued steel ?spoon? hands. M. 32 mm (14???),fully chased and engraved, "Chinese" caliber with standing barrel, 8 jewels,Chinese duplex escapement, steel three-arm balance withblued steel wings, blued steel balance-spring.Movement signed with Chinese characters.
