?Summer Bouquet? Attributed to Ferdinand Aubert, Genève, No. 1172. Made for the Chinese market circa 1810. Very fine and rare, quarter repeating, 18K gold, painted on enamel and pearl set pocket watch.

Four-body, ?Empire?, pearl set bezel with light blue enamel outlining,pearl setpendant and bow, enamel decorated chased foliate band, hinged and sprungbackcover with pearl set border and set with a fine painted on enamel panel of abouquet ofsummer flowers including peonies, poppies and roses against a pale redguilloche ground. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel withradial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic quarter hour numerals,subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands.M. Frosted gilt, bar caliber with standing barrel, cylinder escapement,three-arm brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator,repeating on two square-section gongs by depressing the pendant.Punch numbered on the front-plate.Diam. 58 mm.
