Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel withradial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic quarter hour numerals,subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands.M. Frosted gilt, bar caliber with standing barrel, cylinder escapement,three-arm brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator,repeating on two square-section gongs by depressing the pendant.Punch numbered on the front-plate.Diam. 58 mm.

Ferdinand Aubert Is recorded as working at Cité 34 in 1828. He was an important horologist specilized in musical and automation watches, particularly for the Chinese market. He used very high quality cases, with enamel decoration and pearls, and often used blanks from the Vallée de Joux.
