Geneva, No. 744, case No. 7681. Made circa 1820. Very fine 18K gold musical watch playing on the hour or at will with quarter-repeat.
C. Four-body, "Empire", by ?FLB?, engine-turned, gilt hingedcuvette, slide at 1 o'clock to activate the music, slide at 2 thirtymusic/silent. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals and outerminute track. Gilt ?Cathedral? hands. M. 23'', gilt brass, fixedbarrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance with flatbalance spring, sur plateau pinned disc musical movement, 25tuned vibrating blades acting on both sides of the pinned disc,repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant.Numbered on the movement under the dial, case punched withthe maker?s mark.Diam. 57 mm.
