Jules Nardin, Lode, Swiss, No. 3268, circa 1890. Very fine and unusual 18K gold keyless watch with split-seconds chronograph and 1/4 second "Diablotine".

C. Four body massive, "bassine", polished. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned border. D. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals, red outer Arabic minute and chronograph ring, sunk subsidiary seconds and 1/4 second "foudroyante". Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 19"', nickel plated, " fausses cotes " decoration, 23 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring with micrometric index patented on January 4, 1887. Chronograph with visible work, released by depressing the winding crown, the split seconds push piece in the band. Signed on the cuvette and movement. Diam. 53 mm.
