B. Haas & Cie., No. 15598, Swiss, circa 1890. Very rare, double face, moon phase astronomical, keyless minute repeating, watch movement with perpetual calendar, wound by opening and closing the cover.

D. White enamel, on the front face, with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring, sunk subsidiary seconds and moon phase aperture. White enamel chapter ring on the rear face, with dates and clays of the week. Gold "spade " hands. M. Nickel plated, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Haas patented winding device by opening and closing the cover. Accompanied by copies of the original patents. Diam. 55mm.

B. Haas invented a perpetual calendar mechanism, Patent No. 2870 from September 30, 1872 and a form of winding where the mainspring was wound by opening the front cover of a hunting cased watch.
