Attributed to the workshop of William Anthony, London, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1795. Magnificent and rare 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set centre seconds watch.

C. Double body, with split-pearl set bezel, the back of blue translucent flinque enamel centred with splitpearl inlaid rosette. Hinged gold cuvette, engineturned and engraved with formal decoration. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer minute and seconds ring. Gold skeletonised Breguet hands. M. Gilt brass, Chinese calibre drawn from that of Lepine with free standing barrel, cylinder escapement, plain flat three-arm polished steel balance with flat balance spring and diamond endstone. Diam. 60 mm.
