Notes

Limited edition produced in 122 examples in yellow gold and 50 examples in platinum, production started in 1988. Urban Jiirgensen & Sooner: company founded in 1773. Following the wish of his father, the founder of the company, Urban Jiirgensen spent a major part of his training as a watchmaker in Paris, London, Geneva and Le Locle in the Canton of Neuchatel. It was under his management that both pocket watches and precision time-keepers for navigation and astronomy achieved international fame and recognition. The Danish King, Frederick VI, granted him the Royal Appointment to supply the Court with watches and the Admiralty with chronometers. The use of first class materials and the extremely robust design of all the watches ever made by the company soon made them highly coveted and sought after collector's items, which is still the case today. Urban Jiirgensen & Sonner Copenhagen continues to produce complicated watches in classical styles as individual examples or in very small series. A group of eight highly qualified watchmakers produce exclusively mechanical time-keepers.
