Geneva, circa 1820. Fine and very unusual 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set pendant watch with visible balance, in the form of a winged cartouche.

C. Double body, designed as a cartouche with a pair of wings, with blue flinque enamelled on the front, red on the back, split-pearl set borders, the back with an oval enamel spring loaded enamel lid disclosing the movement, finely painted with summer flowers, outer blue enamel and engraved pearl-set decoration. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel "arrow " hands. Blue enamel dial plate with leaf decoration and a circular balance aperture. M. Gilt brass oval inverted full plate with cylindrical pillars, going barrel, cylinder escapement, diamond-set three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Dim. 49 x 26 mm.
