Notes

The Excenter Biretro Starlight is an eloquent illustration of the ?Rare Diamonds? philosophy. The 34 mm case is crafted exclusively in white gold and entirely set with diamonds from bezel to sides and through to the lugs. It houses a mechanical movement combining retrograde indications of the seconds and the day of the week, with the off-centred hour and minute display. The dial, a one of its kind, is delicately set with 68 fine diamonds, as well as 9 diamond stars illuminating its lucky owner. At the back of the case, the sapphire glass unveils the beautifully-finished automatic movement, as well as the skeleton engraved rotor in rose gold. The highly glamorous yet technical Starlight will doubtless prove the ideal companion for women of character, especially in the evening ... Nicknamed the ?King of diamonds?, Harry Winston did not just know diamonds. He loved them. In its over 100 years, Harry Winston owned, cut or sold more than sixty of the world?s 300 largest diamonds ? more than any other individual, government or royalty. Some of the most famous stones were the Jonker, the Vargas, the Hope, the Star of Sierra Leone or the Taylor Burton. Ronald Winston, who founded Harry Winston Rare Timepieces in Geneva, Switzerland, inherited his love of the profession and his mastery of the art of jewellery-making from his illustrious father. Loyal to the motto ?Nothing but the exceptional? the watch company quickly attracted the cooperation of the finest Swisscraftsmen and masterwatchmakers and gave rise to the ?Rare Diamonds, Rare Movements? concept : ?Rare Diamonds?, delicately hand-set women?s jewellery watches testifying to the more than century-old know-how cultivated at Harry Winston ; and ?Rare Movements?, men?s models featuring technical complications, including a certain number of world firsts in keeping with the finest Swiss highend traditions.
