Pierre Kunz, Genève, Unique piece, Grande Date, Reference: G016 SRGD Monaco.

EUR 18,000 - 22,000

Sold: EUR 20,000

Pierre Kunz will present a unique ?Grande Date? model in red gold 5N 18 carats, in the colours of the Grimaldi family?s coat of arms. The technical exploits of Pierre Kunz can be recognized in the retrograde second at 6 o?clock and the Grande Date at 12 o?clock. The 44 millimetre diameter case is in fluted Empire style. But the special feature of this model is the elaborate dial integrating the red and white diamonds of the coat of arms as well as the crown of the Grimaldi family. As can be seen, some hours are represented by the diamonds from Monaco set with a yellow border; and the indication of midday is symbolised by the princely crown. Automatic movement. Closed back, engraved ?Monaco Only Watch 2005?. Water resistant to 30 metres. Bracelet in hand-stitched alligator leather. This piece has been created as a unique original and the special dial with the colours of Monaco was kindly made free of charge by the company ?Les Fils d?Arnold Linder?, which keenly wished to participate in this important event.

Notes

On 22nd September 2005, Pierre Kunz will participate in a charity evening in aid of muscular dystrophy, alongside His Most Serene Highness Prince Albert II. To make the project ?Only Watch 2005? an unequalled event, and to give a little more hope to the children affected by Duchenne?s muscular dystrophy, Pierre Kunz and other watchmaking brands have joined forces and will each offer for auction a unique piece especially created for this occasion.
