Wurm, Austrian, circa 1830. Fine and unusual, small, Biedermeier, 14K gold gemset zappler timepiece, with special escapement and visible balance.
C. Repousse, chased and engraved, designed as a small bracket clock, the repousse front face finely chased with garlands of flowers and acanthus in the baroque style, set with garnets and split-pearls, garnet set bezel, balance aperture above the dial, pine cone finial, side, top and back panels engraved with foliage decoration. D. Engine-turned with Roman numerals. Gold Breguet hands. M. Shaped brass full plate with going barrel, star-wheel duplex escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with green translucent enamelled rim oscillating over a gold engine-turned plate, flat balance spring, garnet and pearl-set straight line cock. Signed on the back plate. Dim. 65 x 40 x 23 mm.
