B. F. B, German, circa 1610. Rare oval gilt-bronze pre-balance spring clock watch.
C. Double body oval with plain glazed bezel, the band pierced in a continuous balustrade pattern, the pierced back with cast floral decoration springing from a classical vase. Loose ring pendant and small turned finial. D. Later silver with Roman numerals and half-hour divisions, the centred decorated with a landscape, a citadel on the background. Later bluedsteel single hand. Gilt-brass dial plate engraved above the dial with the inscription: WIMFN MSKS WIAG ISASA WIMF. M. Gilt-brass, hinged oval full plate with vase shaped pillars, fusee with gut line, verge escapement, plain steel balance without spring, irregular oval gilt-brass cock (damaged) retained by a screw, ratchet wheel set-up. Hour striking train with pierced and florally engraved fixed barrel with revolving arbor, brass count wheel on the back plate, striking on a bell. Signed with initials punched on the back plate. Dim. 68 x 45 mm.
