Clary, Swiss, No. 11011, circa 1790. Very fine and rare, 18K gold and enamel pearl-set watch in a glazed gilt-brass protective case.
C. Double body, Directoire, with split-pearl set bezels, the enamel back panel with a very fine painted scene, depicting Demeter and Core on a blue translucent ground over engine-turning. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals. Gold Brcguet hands. M. Hinged gilt-brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt-brass continental cock with polished-steel end-piece. Signed on the dial and back plate. Diatn. 59 mm. including the glazed protecting case.
