C. Three body, massive, polished. D. White enamel with three concentric rings for hour and minutes: the innermost and middle rings indicating the hours with Roman chapters; the outermost ring indicating the nuintttes in Arabic numerals and the 60 minutes division between each Roman chapters. Blued-steel single hand with the polished-steel initials "V.F " (F. Vaucher) one at each end. M. 18" ' , silv ered, threequarter plate, 12 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain silvered three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Signed on the back plate. Diann. 51 mm.

The dial of this watch, apparently inspired from that devised by Franklin for regulators, appears to be an attempt to tell the time within five minutes precision, with a single hand only.
