C. Three body rose-wood box with brass corners, fixings and external handles the glazed upper section with hinged lid. Brass bowl and gimballed suspension. D. Silvered with Roman numerals, outer minutes ring, subsidiary seconds and up-and-clown scale. Gold "pear" hands. M. Spotted finished brass, full plate with cylindrical pillars secured by screws, the blank by John Preston, fusee with maintaining power, mainspring by Adams dated November 1858, Earnshaw type spring detent escapement, two-arm bimetallic compensation balance with trapezoidal weights and timing screws, diamond end-stone, free sprung blued-steel helical balance spring. Signed on the dial and movement. Dial diam. 103 mm. Dim. 18,5 x 17 x 17 cm.
