Marchand Fils a Paris, circa 1790. Very fine 18K gold, dead centre-seconds watch with double calendar and special escapement.
C. Double body Louis XVl, polished. D. White enamel eccentric with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minutes ring, outer centre-seconds ring on the bezel ' s border, subsidiary dials for days of the week and dates. Gold hands. M. Hinged gilt-brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, Pouzait lever escapement with divided lift, plain gold four-arm balance covering 93% of the back plate, flat balance spring with regulator, gilt-brass balance cock with polished-steel end-piece. Signed on the dial and back plate. Diam. 81 mm.
