N. Bion a Paris, second part of the 18th century. Fine silver, octagonal Butterfield-type, pocket sundial, in original shagreen covered fitted box.

The folding bird gnomon adjustable for latitudes from 40° to 60° the dial with scales for 40°, 45°, 50° and 55°, engraved the reverse engraved with latitudes of 28 European cities. Signed on the border of the dial, above the compass. Dim. 72 x 67 mm.
