Joanes Haket a Leopol, German, circa 1750 Very fine gilt-bronze hexagonal, hour striking and repeating, horizontal table clock with alarm, in leather fitted box.

C. Hexagonal with glazed side panels and three scrolled feet. D. Gilt-brass engraved with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minutes ring and concentric alarm setting disc. Blued-steel and gilt-brass "halfmoon" hands. M. Gilt-brass hexagonal full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, rack and pinion regulator with brass disc, continental Louis XV cock with polished-steel end-piece. Alarm, striking and repeating on a bell their fixed barrels with revolving arbors, the striking train released for repetition by means of pull-cord. Signed on the back plate. Diam. 97 mm. excluding the feet.
