French, circa 1730 Very fine and unusual 8 day going, hour and quarter striking, Boulle work Regence cartel with matching bracket.

C. Shaped, glazed on three sides, the gilt-brass veneer with foliate marquetry. Gilt-bronze female bottom corner pieces extending into feet. Gilt bronze framed, glazed door with gilt-bronze applied scene in the centre bottom of a Cupid flanked by two female ' s heads matching that of the feet. The arch with applied, chased gilt-bronze beading with central bouquet of flowers and drop pieces in the form foliage. Matching pediment and bracket, the pediment surmounted by a symbolic figure of "Renommee" . D Gilt bronze with roman numerals on enamel plaques surrounded by arabic minutes numerals on the edge on the plate steel hands centre decorated with a sun-burst obove fruit and foliate decoration. Verge escapement, flat bob pendulum with silk thread suspension. M. Rectangular with turned conical pillars, two train with going barrels for each, verge escapement, flat bob, brass rod pendulum with silk suspension, striking on two bells with a single hammer shifting from one to the other; external locking plate. Dim. 135 x 49 x 21 cm., with the bracket.
