Les Freres Colladon, Geneva, circa 1770. Very fine 18K gold and enamel quarter dumb repeating watch.
C. Double body, Louis XV, the bezels chased with a floral decoration, the back enamel panel painted in polychrome colours with a genre scene. A rose-cut diamond set on the pendant and push piece. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minutes ring. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Hinged gilt-brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass threearm balance, flat balance spring, gilt-brass continental cock with polished-steel end-piece. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Signed on the back plate. Diam. 44 mm.
