Ch. Leroy a Paris, No. 954, circa 1750. Very fine 20K gold, dumb quarter repeating watch.
C. Double body Louis XV, with diamond-set push pieces, the bezel repousse with vine-branches and further rocaille decoration. The back decorated en suite, the rocaille centre enhance by a rack and a clove pecking at grapes. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minutes ring. Gold Louis XV hands. M. Hinged gilt-brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt-brass Louis XV continental cock with polished-steel end-piece. Repeating on the edge of the case by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and back plate. Diam. 47 mm.
