Bointaburet a Paris, No. 27405-8, circa 1860. Fine and unusual silver gilt, snuff bow set with Wedgwood and pietra dura micro mosaic decoration, the base with a concealed enamel painted erotic scene.
C. Rectangular, double body, in the Louis XVI style, engine-turned, the lid centred with a small pietra dura mosaic, flanked by two small Wedgwood rosettes. The base with a sliding silver panel disclosing a very fine painted enamel scene, depicting a maiden riding her handsome mount. Signed on the silver sliding panel. Dim. 90 x 57 mm.
