C. Three body, rectangular with spring loaded folding watch with engraved geometrical decoration, the spring loaded folding cover with black champleve enamelled decoration in an Art-Deco pattern. D. Frosted silver with Arabic numerals. Blued-steel "spade" hands. M. Rhodium plated, 5"' rectangular with canted corners, "fausses cotes" decoration, punched with the Geneva quality marks, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. hagerMaster mark punched on the case. Dim. 34 x 26 mm.

The mechanism of this purse watch, which is opened by pushing the centre of the back, to be set on the bed-side table as a purse watch, is highly unusual and entirely different born the "guillotine" type or the "montres a volets" produced by Verger for Cartier or Vacheron Constantin. It was certainly devised by Verger in order to be sold by other retailers.
