Verger, France, made in the 1930's. Fine and unusual lacquered silver, 18K gold, and malachite-set Art-Deco handbag buckle (now mounted as a brooch) incorporating a built-in watch.
C. Silver shaped rectangular buckle, lacquered in black, with gold bezel and shutters opening to disclose the dial by means of a malachite-set mock crown at 9 o 'clock, opposite to the matching windingcrown. D. Matted silver with Arabic numerals. Bluedsteel "spade" hands. M. Rhodium plated 8"' movement, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on the movement, hearer Master mark on the case. Dim. 42 x 43 mm.
