C. Three body, massive, "demi-bassine" with concealed hinges, polished, the back engraved with the monogram "E.A.B.". Hinged gold cuvette engraved with a dedication to an Officer of the U.S. Navy, dated 1916. D. Gold frosted with "Empire" Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands. M. 18"', nickel plated, with going barrel, 21 jewels in blue sapphires, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, brass-invar Guillaume balance, eight adjustments, Breguet balance spring with swan-neck micrometric index. Signed on the dial, case and movement. Diam. 49 mm.
