C.H. Meylan, Brassus, No. 5307, circa 1890. Very fine small 18K gold, diamond-set, keyless minute repeating fob watch.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine ", polished, the back applied with a diamond-set monogram. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Arabic numerals, red outer Arabic minutes ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 10"' rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 29 jewels mainly in gold screwed settings, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the dial and movement. Diam. 29 mm.
