Jacot Freres, Locle, Swiss, No. 10235, circa 1870. Very fine 18K gold hunting cased, quarter repeating keyless watch with dead independent centre-seconds train.
C. Four body, massive "bassine et filets", engineturned with reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and red outer Arabic minutes and seconds ring. Gold "spade " hands. M. 19 "' , nickel plated, double train with gold wheels and differential winding, 39 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Dead independent seconds mechanism with flirt on the escape wheel pinion and bolt in the band. Signed on the cuvette and movement. Dian. 52 mm.
