Le Roy & Fils, 57 New Bond Street, London, No. 300054, made for the English Market, ci rca 1880. Very fine 18K gold hunting cased, astronomical keyless minute repeating watch with perpetual calendar, moon phases and chronograph with instantaneous 30 minutes recorder.
C. Four body, massive, "pommes et filets", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minutes and chronograph rings, subsidiary dials for clays of the week, months of the leap year cycle, with outer minutes register, the dates and subsidiary seconds with inner moon phase aperture, its age on the border. Blued-steel "spade" hands. M. Swiss macle 19"', frosted and gilt, threequarter plate, the going train fully jewelled in screwed settings, English pointed tooth lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued-steel balance spring with terminal curve and regulator. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Chronograph with button in the band. Signed on the back plate. Diam. 58 mm.
