Lepine, Place des Victoires a Paris, No. 25975, circa 1880. Fine and rare 18K gold, hunting cased, astronomical, keyless minute repeating watch with a fly back perpetual calendar and moon phases.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets, canine plate", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minutes ring, sunk subsidiary seconds and apertures for the moon phase volvelle, months and clays of the week, sector for the fly-back calendar. Gold "fleur de lys" hands. M. 19"', gilt brass, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the dial, cuvette and movement. Diam. 53 mm.
