Vaucher a Geneve, circa 1850. Fine and extremely rare 18K gold ultra slim half hunting watch with Bagnolet calibre and eccentric dial, fitted in a silver coin of 5 Belgium Francs dated 1850.
C. Three body ultra slim, engine-turned with milled band. Silver fitted outer case made in a genuine coin, the spring loaded lid with push piece in the band. D. Small silver eccentric with Roman numerals. Blued-steel "spade" hands. M. 10 1/5"', gilt brass, eight jewels, Bagnolet inverted calibre with the free standing barrel and the train of wheel sunk in the single plate engraved on the reverse with technical details. Cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Female winding squares. Diam. of the coin: 37 mm. Diam. of the dial: 29 mm. Thickness of the watch : 2 mm.
