Geneva, made for the Islamic Market, circa 1820. Very fine 18K gold and enamel oval snuff box.

Oval with scalloped edge, the band with alternate flowers, painted over a green ground and trophies on a pink ground, the lid and the back of the box decorated en suite and centred with a fine landscape of the Bosphorus on the cover, a composition of flowers and musical trophies on the back. Dim. 75 x 52 mm.
