Swiss, made for the Islamic Market, circa 1830. Very fine and unusual 18K gold and enamel, quarter repeating watch with digital jumping hours.

Four body, "forme collier", entirely enamelled with white champleve flowers and foliage over a purple flinque ground, the cover with the digital hour aperture above the eccentric minutes dial aperture, the back with a finely painted view of a harbour within a scalloped edged frame. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with technical details. D. Silver engineturned, the digital jumping Turkish hour aperture above the eccentric minutes ring with inner sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold Breguet hand. M. 20"', gilt brass, bar calibre, 10 jewels, ruby cylinder escapement, plain gilt-brass three arm balance, flat balance spring, Breguet pare-chute suspension and bimetallic compensation curb on the index. Repeating on gongs with pull-twist piston through the pendant. Diam. 52 mm.
